Laco, Inc. (“Laco,” “we” or “us”) values your privacy. In this Privacy Policy (“Policy”), we describe how we collect, use, and disclose information that we obtain about users of our website laco.app (the “Site”) and our mobile application (the “App”), and the services available through our Site and App (collectively, “Services” refers to the App, Site and all available services). By using our Services, you agree that your personal information will be handled as described in this Policy. Your use of our Services, and any dispute over privacy, is subject to this Policy, as well as our Terms of Service, which are available here http://laco.app/tos and incorporated by reference into this Policy.

What Information Do We Collect About You and Why?

We collect information about you when you use our Services. Information We Collect When You Register. You can browse portions of our Site without registering. However, to use the Services (including to add recommendations), and to view certain content, you must register with us by logging in through Facebook Connect. In addition, certain content and services are only available through the App, which you may download from app-store(s) in order to use. Information that We Collect About You from Facebook. To register with us, you must log into our Services through Facebook. If you do this, we will ask you permission to: (i) access your Facebook basic information (including your name, profile pic, gender, networks, friends list, birth-date, email address, and any information you have set to public); (ii) send you email; (iii) post to your Wall; (iv) access posts in your news-feed; and (v) access your Facebook data at any time, even if you are not logged in. If you grant permission, we will have access to this information even if you have chosen not to make that information public in Facebook. We store the information that we receive from Facebook with other information that we collect about you.Your Activities. We collect information about your activities within the Services, such as the recommendations you post, comments you make, and photos you submit.Your Location. Our App accesses (with your permission) your geolocation information.Your Contacts. Our App also accesses (with your permission) your mobile contacts list.Information We Collect Automatically. We may automatically collect the following information about your use of our Site and App through cookies and other technologies: log files; domain name; browser type and operating system; page views and related activities; IP address and location information; the length of time you use our Services; access date and time; browser type; device ID and other mobile or app identifiers; and referring URL. How We Use Your Information

We use your information, including your personal information, for the following purposes:To provide our Services, to communicate with you, and for other customer service purposes.To make recommendations to you, to tailor the information that we send or display to you, to offer location customization, and to otherwise personalize content, advertising and experiences.For marketing and promotional purposes. For example, we may use your information, such as your email address, to send you information about products or content we think may interest you.To send you targeted advertising, both online and in our App.To allow you to invite your Facebook friends to use the Services, and to connect you with your Facebook friends who are already Laco users. For example, you can choose to invite your Facebook friends or others in your mobile contacts list (collectively, your “Contacts”) to use Laco. In addition, we will connect you with your Contacts who are also fellow Laco users, by adding them to your Laco friends list (you can always delete someone from your friends list). To better understand how users access and use our Services, to improve our Services, respond to user desires and preferences, and for other research and analytical purposes.

How We Share Your Information

We may share your information, including personal information, as follows: Laco Users. Your user name and any information that you post, such as recommendations, comments, and photos, as well as your Facebook photo and username will be available to, and searchable by, all users of the Services. In addition, certain content may be viewable by third parties who are not registered users. For more information about your choices, see the “What Choices Do I Have” section below.Contacts/Friends. Laco gives you the ability to invite your Contacts to join Laco. We will also add your Contacts who are also fellow Laco users to your Laco friends list. You may always remove another Laco user from your Laco friends list.Business Partners and Others. Your information, including the information you post, may be shared with other third parties, included the businesses to which they relate. For example, if you review a dish, your review may be shared with the restaurant that prepared it.Affiliates. We may disclose the information we collect from you to our affiliates or subsidiaries; their use and disclosure of your personally identifiable information will be subject to this Policy.Service Providers. We may disclose the information we collect from you to third party vendors, service providers, contractors or agents who perform functions on our behalf.Business Transfers. If we are acquired by or merged with another company, if substantially all of our assets are transferred to another company, or as part of a bankruptcy proceeding, we may transfer the information we have collected from you to the other company.In Response to Legal Process. Cookies, Tracking and Ad Networks

We and our third party service providers use cookies and other tracking mechanisms to track information about your use of our Site or Services. We may combine this information with other personal information we collect from you

Cookies

Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer’s hard drive through your web browser for record-keeping purposes. Some cookies allow us to make it easier for you to navigate our Site and Services, while others are used to enable a faster log-in process or to allow us to track your activities. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but if you prefer, you can edit your browser options to block them in the future. The Help portion of the toolbar on most browsers will tell you how to manage how websites place cookies through your browser. Clear GIFs, pixel tags and other technologies.

Clear GIFs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on your computer’s hard drive, clear GIFs are embedded invisibly on web pages. We may use clear GIFs (a.k.a. web beacons, web bugs or pixel tags), in connection with our Site and App to, among other things, help us manage content, and compile statistics about usage. We and our third party service providers also use clear GIFs in HTML e-mails to our customers, to help us track e-mail response rates, identify when our e-mails are viewed, and track whether our e-mails are forwarded.

Third Party Analytics

We use automated devices and applications, such as Google Analytics (opt-out info here) and Mix Panel (opt out info here) to evaluate usage of our Site and App. We also may use other analytic means to evaluate our Services. We use these tools to help us improve our Services, performance and user experiences. These entities may use cookies and other tracking technologies to perform their services; we do not share your personal information with these third parties.

Targeted Advertising and Ad Networks

We may send users targeted ads, based on their location and activities within the Services (on the Site and in the App). We may also participate in third party ad networks and allow third parties to use cookies, pixel tags and other tracking technologies on the Site and App to collect usage information and display targeted ads. For example, we may use Google’s Ad Mob to help us display targeted ads in the App. These third parties may be able to associate the information they collect with other information they have about you from other sources.

Do-Not-Track

Our Site does not honor browser do-not-track requests. However, you can find information on how to opt out of many online ad networks at the following sites: Network Advertising Initiative, and Digital Advertising Alliance. Please note that opting out does not prevent ads from being displayed to you. Also, if you delete cookies after opting out, your opt out may no longer be effective.

User Generated Content

We invite you to post content, including recommendations, comments, pictures, and other information that you would like to share through the Services. This content is shared with other users, business partners and other third parties. Your postings may become public and Laco cannot prevent such information from being used in a manner that may violate this Policy, the law, or your privacy.

Third-Party Links

Our Site and Services may contain links to third-party websites. Any access to and use of such linked websites is not governed by this Policy, but instead is governed by the privacy policies of those third party websites. We are not responsible for the information practices of such third party websites.

Security of My Personal Information

We have implemented measures to protect the information we collect from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Please be aware that despite our best efforts, no data security measures can guarantee 100% security.

Access To My Personal Information

You may modify some of the information that you have submitted by logging into your account and updating your profile information and review history. Please note that copies of information that you have updated, modified or deleted may remain viewable in cached and archived pages of the Site or Application for a period of time, and we will retain a copy of this information in our systems.

Other Policies

What Choices Do I Have?

We give you the following choices about your information and content:

Emails. We may send periodic promotional or informational emails to you. You may opt-out of such communications by following the opt-out instructions contained in the e-mail. It may take up to 10 business days for us to process opt-out requests. If you opt-out of receiving emails about recommendations or other information we think may interest you, we may still send you e-mails about your account or any Services you have requested or received from us.

Privacy Settings. The default setting for your recommendations and other content is public, meaning it can be viewed by others; however, you can choose to set your recommendations and other content to private. However, please note that if you set your content to private, your name and profile picture will still be viewable to other users.

Children Under 13

Our Services are not designed for children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete such information from our systems.
